Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own independent assessments. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can drive the price on Polymarket in a different direction. This dynamic can lead to prediction markets being more accurate than traditional odds, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores for the FC Imabari vs. Kofu match. The price of each share reflects the market’s probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective belief. Higher demand for a particular outcome drives its price up, indicating a greater perceived chance of it happening, while lower demand pushes the price down. This creates a dynamic and responsive pricing system.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the FC Imabari vs. Kofu match is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the market’s pricing at the time of resolution.
