This prediction market asks users to forecast which team, FC Dallas or San Jose Earthquakes, will score more goals in the second half of a Major League Soccer (MLS) match. A 'Draw' outcome is possible if both teams score the same number of goals in the second half. The markets specify resolution based on official statistics, with fallback sources if official data is unavailable.
In the upcoming MLS game between FC Dallas and San Jose Earthquakes, scheduled for October 24, 2026 at 9:30 PM ET: This market will resolve to "FC Dallas" if FC Dallas score more goals than San Jose Earthquakes in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Draw" if FC Dallas and San Jose Earthquakes score the same number of goals in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. This market will resolve to "San Jose Earthquakes" if San Jose Earthquakes score more goals than FC Dallas in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Draw". This market refers only to the outcome within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a 'wisdom of the crowd' that can differ from traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, allows traders to directly express their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as new information emerges. While sportsbooks may initially have an edge due to rapid line setting, prediction markets can converge on the true probability as more participants contribute, and volume increases. The current volume on this market is $31.
Several signals could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team formations, or even weather conditions could impact trader sentiment and shift the odds. Significant events during the first half of the match, such as early goals or red cards, would likely cause substantial price movement. Unexpected announcements related to team management or external factors affecting player performance could also play a role. Monitoring sports news and social media for relevant updates is crucial for understanding potential catalysts.
