On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular team, the price increases, reflecting a higher perceived chance of that team scoring first. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand, and reflects the collective intelligence of those trading on the platform.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Several factors could significantly impact this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either FC Cincinnati or Philadelphia Union would likely cause price shifts. Changes in weather conditions, especially if they favor one team’s playing style, could also influence trading activity. Unexpected announcements about tactical changes or starting lineups could also move the market. Finally, any significant public statements from team coaches or players regarding their strategy or confidence levels might affect how traders assess the probability of either team scoring first.
