United SC match originally scheduled for September 5, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs about the first half score. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise from differing information, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of confidence in a specific result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different possible exact scores for the first half. As more shares are traded for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher probability assigned by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share represents the implied probability of that exact score occurring. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all traders involved, adjusting in real-time to new information and changing perspectives.
This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final score at the end of the first half of the FC Cincinnati vs. D.C. United match will determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on official match data, ensuring an objective and transparent determination of the result. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final, verified score.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either FC Cincinnati or D.C. United would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, especially if they are expected to impact the style of play, could also be a catalyst. Even pre-match analysis from soccer experts or unexpected lineup announcements could sway trader sentiment and lead to price adjustments. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to capitalize on market movements before Oct 21, 2026.
