The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by professional oddsmakers, while this market’s pricing is determined by supply and demand among individual traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd believes there might be value, or where sportsbooks may have a different assessment of the likely outcome of the first half.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different possible exact scores for the first half. The price of each share reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likely result. This allows for a fluid and responsive price discovery process, driven by the collective intelligence of the crowd.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official exact score of the first half of the FC Barcelona versus Getafe CF match. Any official data source that provides the halftime score will be used to determine the winning outcome. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in their account balances on Polymarket shortly after the official score is released.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either FC Barcelona or Getafe CF would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before kickoff could also shift expectations. Even the weather conditions on match day could play a role, impacting the style of play and potentially influencing the score. Any unexpected events during the first half itself, such as a red card or early goal, would also rapidly move this market.
