In the upcoming La Liga game between FC Barcelona and Deportivo Alavés, scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the FC Barcelona vs. Deportivo Alavés match originally scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction markets like Predict tend to offer odds that are competitive with, and sometimes even more accurate than, traditional sportsbooks. This is because prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of the crowd, allowing a diverse range of opinions to influence pricing. Sportsbooks, while employing sophisticated models, are still susceptible to biases or limitations in their algorithms. It’s common to see this market reflect information not yet fully incorporated into sportsbook lines, especially regarding team news or subtle changes in form. However, discrepancies can occur, and comparing odds is always a good practice for informed betting.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible exact score. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, directly reflecting the collective belief of participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders express their views, the prices converge towards what the market believes is the most likely outcome. This dynamic pricing ensures that the probabilities displayed on the dashboard are constantly updated and represent the latest market consensus. The volume traded on each outcome also indicates the level of confidence behind it.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final, official scoreline of the FC Barcelona versus Deportivo Alavés match will be used to determine the winning contract. The resolution will be based on the official result published by the governing football league, ensuring a transparent and objective determination. Any potential delays in official reporting may slightly postpone the resolution time, but the process will be completed as quickly as possible following the match’s conclusion.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before it resolves. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either FC Barcelona or Deportivo Alavés would likely cause shifts in probabilities. Changes in team formations, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected news about the clubs’ internal situations, such as managerial changes or player disputes, might also contribute to volatility. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the teams’ relative strengths will likely move this market.
