Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, and can sometimes differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and perspectives. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when there’s significant public interest or disagreement about the likely outcome. Comparing the odds can reveal where the crowd believes there’s value, or where sportsbooks may be over or underestimating the probability of a particular event.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the probability of three or more total goals in the Augsburg vs Union Berlin match. The price of a contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived likelihood of the event occurring. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are essentially betting against each other, and the market price reflects the aggregated expectations of all participants. The current price represents the probability that the market assigns to the outcome.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final goal count from the FC Augsburg versus Union Berlin match will be used to determine whether three or more goals were scored. The resolution will be based on official match statistics, ensuring a transparent and accurate outcome. Traders will then be paid out or have their funds returned based on whether their prediction aligned with the final result.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Augsburg or Union Berlin would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the style of play, could also affect trader sentiment. Even pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators or unexpected lineup announcements could shift the odds as traders adjust their expectations based on new information. Any significant shift in public opinion could also influence trading activity.
