On Polymarket, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular wide receiver being the Week 5 points leader. As more people buy shares in a specific receiver, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share represents the probability of that receiver winning, scaled to a maximum of 100. The market dynamically adjusts to new information and trading activity, providing a real-time assessment of the potential winner.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the official fantasy football point totals for wide receivers in Week 5 of the 2026-27 NFL season, calculated using standard PPR scoring rules. The receiver with the highest total points will be declared the winner, and shares in that outcome will be settled at 100. All other shares will be settled at 0.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Player injuries are a major catalyst, as the absence of a key receiver would dramatically alter the landscape. Preseason performance and training camp reports can also influence trading activity, providing early indications of player form. Unexpected trades or changes in team offensive schemes could also shift expectations. Finally, any news regarding player health, coaching decisions, or potential matchups in Week 5 will likely cause fluctuations in the odds for this market.
