Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves and potentially influenced by public betting patterns. This market, however, represents the aggregated predictions of informed individuals, theoretically leading to more accurate probabilities. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, risk assessments, and the incentive structures of each venue. It's common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief in the likelihood of a specific outcome. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective assessment of all participants. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will rise. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to create a real-time probability estimate for the match's result, driven entirely by user activity.

This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Fabian Marozsan vs Zachary Svajda match as reported by the governing tennis authority. Any disputes or ambiguities will be resolved using widely accepted sources of information. The platform will then determine the winning contracts and distribute payouts accordingly to those who correctly predicted the outcome of this market.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market before Oct 9, 2026. News regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or even significant shifts in public opinion could all impact trading activity. Unexpected announcements about player form or tactical changes could also lead to adjustments in the perceived probabilities. Furthermore, large trades by individual participants or groups could temporarily move the market, although sustained price changes typically require broader shifts in sentiment based on new and relevant information.
