Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets, like Limitless, allow traders to directly set prices based on their collective beliefs. This can sometimes lead to discrepancies, with this market potentially offering more favorable odds if there’s strong disagreement between the crowd’s prediction and the sportsbook’s initial assessment. However, as the event approaches, the odds on both sides tend to converge as more information becomes available.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing the likelihood of Everton winning by two or more goals. The price of a contract reflects the current market consensus. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as they profit if their beliefs align with the eventual outcome. The platform uses a dynamic pricing model, adjusting to changes in supply and demand as new information emerges and traders update their assessments of the match’s potential result.

This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Everton vs Chelsea match, specifically whether Everton achieved a victory with a margin of two or more goals. The platform will rely on widely accepted sources for the match results to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final score to understand the resolution of this market.
