Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and internal analysis, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. While there can be alignment, differences often emerge due to varying information access and interpretations. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to breaking news or shifts in public sentiment than traditional betting venues, offering a dynamic comparison point.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each team scoring first. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price fluctuates, reflecting the evolving consensus. This creates a dynamic and liquid market where you can express your view on the game’s outcome and potentially profit from accurate predictions.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official match records will serve as the source of truth for determining the winning outcome. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially declared and validated, and shares will be settled accordingly on Polymarket.
