This prediction market asks for the exact final score of a Premier League match between Everton FC and Chelsea FC after 90 minutes of regulation time plus stoppage time. Outcomes include specific scorelines, and 'Any Other Score' if the actual score isn't listed. Postponement leads to market continuation, while cancellation results in a 0-0 resolution.
In the upcoming Premier League game between Everton FC and Chelsea FC, scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 7:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Everton FC vs. Chelsea FC match originally scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 7:30 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance risk and profit, while prediction markets are driven by users willing to put their money behind their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly deviates from the sportsbook's initial assessment. While sportsbooks may initially be more influenced by expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adapt to new information and changing perceptions, resulting in a more real-time assessment of probabilities for this event. The current volume of $242,900 suggests active trading and a potentially insightful forecast.
Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. The differing prices on Polymarket and Predict for the Everton vs. Chelsea score market can stem from several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and information. Polymarket may have a higher concentration of football enthusiasts, while Predict might draw more general prediction market participants. Furthermore, the liquidity—or trading volume—can differ significantly between the two platforms, with Polymarket having a 24-hour volume of $230,878. This disparity in volume can lead to price fluctuations and divergences, as smaller trades on Predict have a greater impact on the overall price than larger trades on Polymarket.
