Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own modeling and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by supply and demand. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see differences, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts regarding the potential for goals in this match.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Everton and Chelsea will score 3 or more goals. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders effectively set the odds by placing bids and asks, and the market price fluctuates based on the balance of buying and selling pressure. The more traders who believe 3+ goals will be scored, the higher the price will climb. The current price represents the market's aggregated forecast.

This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final goal tally from the Everton vs Chelsea match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official match statistics, specifically the total number of goals scored by both teams combined. Any goals scored during regular play, including stoppage time, will be counted towards the total. The market will settle to 100 if 3 or more goals are scored, and 0 if fewer than 3 goals are scored.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Everton or Chelsea would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also affect the expected goal total. Even pre-match team lineups and tactical formations could shift expectations. Public sentiment, reflected in social media and sports news, can contribute to price movements as traders react to new information and adjust their forecasts for the game.
