Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event occurring, as determined by traders. This can lead to discrepancies, where this market’s implied probability differs from sportsbook lines. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks in accuracy, especially when a large number of informed traders participate. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different information and incentives.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price will adjust accordingly, providing a real-time assessment of expectations for the Damm vs Gadamauri match. The volume traded also indicates the level of interest and confidence in each possible result.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Damm vs Gadamauri match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official result announced by tournament organizers will be used to determine the winning outcome in this market.
