Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own independent assessments of the likelihood of each outcome. If there’s a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced the event, or that new information hasn’t yet been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. It’s a good practice to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. As more shares are purchased for an outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of shares directly translates to the market’s forecast, and the platform facilitates this price discovery process based on supply and demand. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly adapt to new information and changing perceptions.
This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
