Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and internal analysis, while this market aggregates the opinions of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing a player's chances, the prediction market odds will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds over time, especially when there’s strong public interest.
