Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to remember that sportsbooks and this market have different costs and margins, which can contribute to these differences.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on which team, ES Troyes AC or Olympique de Marseille, scores the first goal during the first half of the match. The official match records will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. Any goals scored during extra time or a penalty shootout will not be considered for the purposes of this market.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either ES Troyes AC or Olympique de Marseille would likely cause significant movement.
