Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to build in a profit margin, while this market is driven by individuals freely trading their perspectives. If a significant discrepancy exists, it might suggest the market believes a sportsbook is undervaluing or overvaluing a particular outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast probabilities, especially when there’s strong public interest and active trading. Examining these differences can be a valuable part of your research.
