Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Limitless, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow traders to freely express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment diverges from expert opinion. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, particularly in response to breaking news or late-developing insights regarding this market.
Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Limitless may differ due to variations in user base, trading volume, and platform-specific rules. Polymarket might attract a different type of trader than Limitless, leading to differing opinions on the likely outcome of the match. Additionally, the liquidity and volume on each platform can influence price discovery. If one platform has significantly higher volume, its prices may be more efficient and responsive to new information. These differences are normal and reflect the independent price-setting mechanisms of each platform for this market.
