Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event. It’s common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information, potentially leading to odds movements that diverge from those offered by sportsbooks.

This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the Liverpool vs Manchester City match, as officially recorded by event organizers, will determine the winning outcome. The platform will verify the final score against publicly available and trusted sources to ensure an accurate and fair resolution. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.

Several factors could influence this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Liverpool or Manchester City would likely cause significant price movement. Unexpected changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before kickoff could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, real-time events during the match itself, such as early goals, red cards, or controversial refereeing decisions, could lead to rapid shifts in probabilities as traders react to the unfolding situation. Public sentiment and expert analysis can also play a role in influencing the market.
