This market refers to the cricket match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka scheduled for October 27 2026 at 4:00 AM ET in England and Sri Lanka Tour of Pakistan ODIs. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders on Predict, aims to reflect the true probability of an outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust as new information emerges and traders react to it. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions and risk assessments.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and express their views, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic and real-time forecast. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are influenced by a variety of factors, including news, team performance, and overall sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka ODI series as reported by recognized sports authorities. The outcome will be determined by the series winner, taking into account all matches played. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in the market’s settlement data once it becomes available.
Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or changes in team lineups would likely impact the odds. Unexpected weather forecasts affecting match schedules could also introduce volatility. Furthermore, the performance of both teams in preceding matches or other related tournaments will influence trader sentiment. Major upsets or particularly dominant performances in early matches of the series are likely to cause substantial shifts in this market’s pricing.
