In the upcoming Ligue 2 game between En Avant Guingamp and AS Saint-Étienne, scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the En Avant Guingamp vs. AS Saint-Étienne match originally scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess the probability of an event occurring. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities, especially when there's strong public sentiment or information asymmetry. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on statistical models, this market allows for a more dynamic and potentially more accurate assessment as new information becomes available and is incorporated by traders.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the collective belief of the traders regarding the likelihood of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an exact score is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will rise, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic pricing system that responds to new information and changing opinions about the Guingamp vs. Saint-Étienne match.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Guingamp vs. Saint-Étienne match, as officially recorded by the relevant sporting authority, will determine the winning share(s) in this market. Resolution will occur after the match concludes and the official result is widely available. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome of the match.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or even weather conditions could impact trader sentiment. Unexpected lineup announcements or pre-match analysis suggesting a shift in strategy could also lead to significant price movements. Furthermore, large-volume trades by influential traders on Polymarket could create momentum and drive the market in a particular direction. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how this market evolves leading up to Oct 31, 2026.
