Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, being driven by the collective wisdom of traders, can sometimes offer more competitive odds, reflecting a more accurate assessment of probabilities. However, it’s important to remember that both sources are based on different information and analytical approaches, and discrepancies can arise due to varying expert opinions and market sentiment.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. Conversely, if more traders sell, the price decreases. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence of the participants.

This market resolves around Oct 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Emets vs. Volynets match, as reported by official sports authorities. It’s important to note that the platform relies on publicly available information to determine the winner, and the process is designed to be transparent and objective.
