Sportsbooks frequently incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, influencing the implied probabilities. This market, however, is driven purely by trader demand and belief. While sportsbooks may initially set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, prediction markets can dynamically adjust as new information emerges and opinions shift among participants. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as the event approaches.

The higher the demand for shares representing a particular outcome, the higher the price, and the greater the implied probability.
