In the upcoming FIFA International Friendlies game between Egypt and South Africa, scheduled for October 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Egypt vs. South Africa match originally scheduled for October 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to attract action, and may adjust based on betting patterns, but aren’t always purely reflective of true probabilities. This market, like others on Predict, benefits from a diverse range of participants, leading to potentially more informed pricing. However, sportsbook odds can still offer valuable insights, and discrepancies between the two can sometimes present arbitrage opportunities for informed traders.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact scores. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more trades occur, the price adjusts, providing a dynamic assessment of the likely result. Traders are incentivized to set prices that accurately reflect their beliefs, as they can profit from correctly predicting the final score. This creates a self-correcting system that aims to converge on the true probability of each possible outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Egypt vs. South Africa match will be used to determine the winning contract. Any delays or postponements of the match may affect the resolution timeline, but the outcome will always be based on the officially recorded score. Traders should monitor official sources for updates regarding the match and its final result, as this will dictate the settlement of this market.
Several signals could significantly move this market before Oct 4, 2026. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Egypt or South Africa would likely cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced by the coaches could also influence trading activity. Furthermore, major weather forecasts for the match location, if unfavorable, might impact perceived probabilities. Finally, any significant public sentiment shifts, perhaps driven by expert analysis or widespread fan predictions, could also contribute to price movements in this market.
