Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds tend to be more accurate than sportsbook odds, as they reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders. However, there can be discrepancies. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to attract action, and may adjust them based on betting patterns or news. This market, driven by informed traders on Limitless, may react more quickly to new information and provide a different perspective on the probabilities than traditional sportsbooks. It's common to see differences, especially before significant events or breaking news related to the teams involved.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates what traders are willing to pay for a contract that pays out if the corresponding outcome happens. This dynamic pricing allows for a real-time reflection of market sentiment regarding the EFL Cup final.

This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by the official result of the EFL Cup final between Manchester City and Brighton, as declared by the governing football authorities. The market will settle to 100% for the winning team, and 0% for the losing team. Traders holding contracts for the winning outcome will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution. The resolution process ensures a fair and transparent outcome for all participants in this market.

Several signals could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either Manchester City or Brighton would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on the day of the final could also influence trading activity. Unexpected news related to player availability or team morale are also potential catalysts. Major upsets in other matches involving these teams leading up to the final could also shift market sentiment and move the odds on Limitless.
