Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds tend to be more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially closer to the event. This is because prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of the crowd, incorporating a wider range of information and perspectives. Sportsbooks, while employing sophisticated models, are still susceptible to biases and limitations in their analysis. However, it’s not uncommon to see initial discrepancies between the two, with sportsbooks often adjusting their lines as the event approaches and incorporating information from markets like this one. Comparing the two can offer a valuable perspective on public sentiment.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and place orders, the prices adjust dynamically, creating a real-time assessment of the event’s likelihood. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more demand for a specific outcome, the higher its price will climb, and vice versa. This mechanism ensures that the market price always reflects the most up-to-date information available to traders.

This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the Everton vs Newcastle match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution process relies on publicly available data to ensure an objective and transparent outcome. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution, while those holding contracts for losing outcomes will forfeit their stake.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 30, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Everton or Newcastle would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also shift market sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or off-field issues could also cause fluctuations. Monitoring these signals can help traders identify potential opportunities and adjust their positions accordingly.
