Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on internal models and a desire to balance their risk, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe an outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. It's common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks, especially when there's asymmetric information or strong public sentiment influencing the event. Comparing these odds can reveal where the market consensus diverges from expert opinion.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price fluctuates, reflecting the evolving consensus. The higher the demand for a share, the higher its price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated to reflect the latest available information and collective intelligence.

This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Efimenko vs. Skorobahatyi match, as determined by the governing sports organization. The platform will verify the result against publicly available data to ensure accuracy. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out according to the final market prices at the time of resolution, while those who bet on the incorrect outcome will forfeit their shares. It’s important to monitor the event closely as the resolution date approaches.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market before Nov 5, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected performance in prior matches could shift trader sentiment. Publicly released analysis from sports experts, or even significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks, might also impact the market. Unexpected weather conditions, if the match is outdoors, could also play a role. Essentially, any information that alters the perceived probability of either player winning will likely cause the market to react and adjust the odds accordingly.
