Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Polymarket and Kalshi both resolve based on the official match outcome (90 minutes plus stoppage time, no extra time or penalties) of the EC Vitória vs. Mirassol FC game scheduled for March 22, 2026, with identical scope and primary source (CBF/governing body official statistics).
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body (CBF - Confederação Brasileira de Futebol) or event organizers; if not published within 2 hours after conclusion, consensus of credible reporting may be used.
Core resolution logic:
The match outcome is determined by the result after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only (no extra time or penalties).
Polymarket resolves three binary markets: Draw (YES if draw, NO otherwise), Vitória Win (YES if Vitória wins, NO otherwise), and Mirassol Win (YES if Mirassol wins, NO otherwise).
Kalshi resolves three binary markets covering all three outcomes: Vitória Win, Mirassol Win, and Tie, each resolving YES if that outcome occurs.
Exactly one outcome will occur: either Vitória wins, Mirassol wins, or the match ends in a draw.
If the match is postponed, both platforms keep markets open until completion.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Polymarket's draw market resolves YES and win markets resolve NO; Kalshi's tie market resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets on both platforms remain open until the match is completed and the final result is determined.
Match Cancellation Without Makeup: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game scheduled, Polymarket's draw market resolves YES (treating cancellation as a draw outcome), while Vitória and Mirassol win markets resolve NO. Kalshi's tie market resolves YES.
Resolution Source Hierarchy: Primary source is official CBF statistics published within 2 hours of match conclusion. If official statistics are not available within 2 hours, resolution uses consensus of credible reporting sources.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the final match result by CBF or event organizers, or within 2 hours after the match conclusion via credible reporting consensus if official statistics are delayed.
