Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available. It's common to see discrepancies, as prediction markets can incorporate information not fully reflected in sportsbook lines.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe in an outcome, the higher the price of its shares will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the crowd and adjusts in real-time as new information emerges.

This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Duplii vs. Gribcov match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand how this market will settle.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in match scheduling, or updates on player form could shift the perceived probabilities.
