These markets track how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Duke and Georgia Tech. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that period. The outcome depends solely on whether the actual points exceed the specified threshold.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Duke vs Georgia Tech college football game scheduled for Oct 10, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined points exceed that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the 4th quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially as an event approaches. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, while this market aggregates the insights of numerous independent traders. However, initial sportsbook lines can sometimes offer value before the prediction market fully incorporates all available information. It’s common to see the price in this market move in response to significant sportsbook line movements or major news regarding either team.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome of the Duke-Georgia Tech 4th quarter total. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price converges towards what the market collectively believes is the true probability. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, and traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 4th quarter between Duke and Georgia Tech is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics as reported by a trusted sports data provider. The total points scored in the 4th quarter will determine which outcome corresponds to the final result and triggers payout to those who correctly predicted the range containing the actual total.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Duke or Georgia Tech would likely cause price adjustments. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they impact the teams’ offensive or defensive strategies, could also move the market. Significant shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by expert analysis or late-breaking news, could also affect trading activity. Finally, in-game performance during the first three quarters could lead traders to reassess their predictions and adjust their positions in this market.
