On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different golfers, and the price of each share reflects the probability of that golfer being the third-round leader. As more shares are bought for a specific golfer, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is determined entirely by supply and demand – if many traders believe a golfer has a strong chance, they will bid up the price of their shares, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic and real-time assessment of the potential outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which golfer holds the lead after the completion of the third round of the DP World Tour: India Championship. The final leaderboard, as officially published by the DP World Tour, will serve as the source for determining the winning outcome in this market. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Polymarket following the event’s conclusion.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. A golfer’s performance in the first two rounds will heavily influence trading activity, with strong showings likely to drive up their share prices. Unexpected weather conditions during the third round could also create volatility, favoring golfers who excel in challenging conditions. Any news regarding a golfer’s health or potential withdrawal from the tournament would also be a major catalyst. Finally, shifts in public sentiment or expert analysis regarding a golfer’s chances could also move the market, as traders adjust their positions based on new information.
