On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each golfer being the second-round leader. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that golfer leading. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular golfer, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence in their chances. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price, indicating decreasing confidence. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective assessment of the field.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the golfer who holds the lowest score after the second round of the DP World Tour’s India Championship will be declared the winner of this market. The official leaderboard published by the DP World Tour will serve as the source for determining the leader. Any ties will be handled according to the tournament’s official rules, and that determination will be reflected in the market’s resolution.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. A golfer’s performance during the first round, particularly a very strong or weak showing, will likely cause substantial shifts in the odds. Weather conditions during the second round could also play a crucial role, favoring certain playing styles or course conditions. Unexpected news regarding a golfer’s health or form, such as a reported injury or a strong practice round, could also move the market. Finally, any significant changes in betting activity on Polymarket itself will directly impact the prices and probabilities reflected in this market.
