On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each golfer winning the Genesis Championship. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share directly reflects the probability of that golfer winning, as determined by the collective actions of all participants. This means that as more traders believe a golfer has a higher chance of winning, the price of their shares will increase, and vice versa. The market aggregates these individual assessments into an overall probability distribution.
This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the Genesis Championship, identifying the golfer who wins the tournament. The platform will verify the winner against official tournament standings and publicly available results. Traders who correctly predicted the winning golfer will receive a payout based on the final share price at the time of resolution. This market provides a way to forecast the outcome of the Genesis Championship and potentially profit from accurate predictions.
Numerous signals could move this market before it resolves around Oct 26, 2026. Unexpected withdrawals due to injury or illness of a leading contender would likely cause significant shifts in probabilities. Strong performances in preceding tournaments, or conversely, disappointing results, could also influence trader sentiment. Real-time updates during the Genesis Championship itself – such as a golfer’s score on a particularly challenging hole or a notable birdie streak – will undoubtedly drive volatility and adjustments to the odds as this market reflects the unfolding competition.
