On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a golfer will finish in the top 5. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the field. Higher demand for a particular golfer’s share will increase its price, indicating a greater perceived chance of success, while lower demand will decrease the price. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date information.
This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official final leaderboard of the Genesis Championship, identifying the golfers who finished within the top 5 positions. The market will determine which golfers achieved this result, and shares will be settled accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final results to understand when and how this market will be finalized.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding player form, such as injuries, withdrawals, or strong performances in preceding events, would likely cause price adjustments. Weather forecasts for the tournament days are also crucial, as conditions can heavily favor certain playing styles. Unexpected changes in the field, like a late entry of a highly-ranked golfer, could also shift probabilities. Finally, live tournament performance during the first few rounds will undoubtedly impact the odds as traders react to real-time results.
