On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief in a particular golfer leading after the third round. The price of each contract directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the field. Higher demand for a particular golfer's contract will drive up the price, indicating increased confidence in their chances, while lower demand will cause the price to fall.
This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the golfer leading after the completion of the third round of the Genesis Championship will determine the winning outcome. The official leaderboard from the DP World Tour will serve as the basis for verifying the result. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized on Polymarket, based on the final standings and the contracts they hold.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. A golfer’s performance in the second round, particularly a strong or weak showing, will likely cause substantial shifts in the odds. Weather conditions during the third round, such as wind or rain, could favor certain players and impact their scores. Unexpected injuries or withdrawals of key contenders would also be major catalysts. Finally, any news or updates regarding a golfer’s form or strategy could also move this market, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
