On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a player will finish in the top 20. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price fluctuates based on supply and demand; increased buying pressure drives the price up, indicating growing confidence, while selling pressure lowers it. This dynamic pricing allows the market to aggregate information and provide a real-time assessment of each player's chances.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final leaderboard for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results published by the DP World Tour, identifying the players who finished within the top 20 positions. The market will then determine which predictions accurately reflected the final standings, and shares will be settled accordingly. The event’s official results are the sole determinant for this market.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Player form leading up to the event, including recent tournament results and any reported injuries, are key catalysts. Weather conditions at the Links courses – specifically wind and rain – can dramatically affect scoring and player performance. Unexpected withdrawals of top players would also cause substantial shifts in the odds. Finally, any news regarding course setup or changes to the tournament format could influence trading activity and move this market considerably.
