On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each golfer’s chance of finishing in the top 10. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular golfer, the price increases, reflecting a growing expectation of success. Conversely, selling shares lowers the price, indicating decreasing confidence. This dynamic process creates a constantly updating probability distribution for the event.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final leaderboard for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is verifiable from credible public reporting. The golfers who ultimately finish within the top 10 will determine the winning shares in this market. The resolution will be based on the official results published by the DP World Tour, ensuring a transparent and accurate settlement process. Traders should monitor the tournament’s progress leading up to the resolution date to stay informed.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Unexpected injuries or withdrawals of key golfers would likely cause shifts in the odds. Strong or poor performance in the early rounds of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship will also be a major catalyst, as will weather conditions, which can heavily influence scoring. Any news regarding a golfer’s form, equipment changes, or caddie adjustments could also move the market. Finally, significant betting activity on Polymarket itself can influence prices, especially if a large volume of shares is traded in a short period.
