On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of the event occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price will adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The current price indicates the market's collective assessment of whether an albatross will be scored at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and is influenced by factors like course difficulty and player skill.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether an albatross (a score of three under par on a single hole) is officially recorded during the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship tournament. Official tournament results will be used to determine if an albatross was achieved by any player during the competition. The final outcome will be based on the official scoring records released by the DP World Tour following the conclusion of the event.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. News regarding player form, particularly if a player known for aggressive play is performing well, could increase the probability of an albatross. Weather conditions, such as softer greens or favorable wind, could also make scoring an albatross more likely, impacting the price. Unexpected course changes or adjustments could also shift the market. Finally, any significant news related to the tournament itself, like a notable player withdrawing, could cause traders to reassess their positions and move the market.
