This market refers to the Dota 2 match between Team Spirit and LEGION in the PARI Universe Group B, initially scheduled for October 22, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Spirit" if Team Spirit win the match against LEGION. This market will resolve to "LEGION" if LEGION win the match against Team Spirit. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 22, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. This can lead to discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing or overvaluing a particular outcome, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly, potentially offering a more accurate assessment of the event’s probability.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe Team Spirit will win, for example, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb, and vice-versa for LEGION. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of those trading it.
This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the best-of-three series between Team Spirit and LEGION in the PARI Universe Group B stage. The platform will verify the final scoreline as reported by the official tournament organizers to determine the winning team and settle the market accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for updates as the match progresses.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Unexpected news regarding player form, such as injuries or illness affecting key players on either Team Spirit or LEGION, could significantly shift expectations. In-game performance during the series itself, like a dominant early game from one team, would also likely cause rapid adjustments. Analyst opinions and public discussions surrounding team strategies and potential matchups can also contribute to price movements, reflecting changing sentiment among traders on Polymarket.
