This market refers to the Dota 2 Lower Bracket Final match between Rostik Team and Cake Team in the BetBoom Streamers Battle Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Rostik Team" if Rostik Team win the match against Cake Team. This market will resolve to "Cake Team" if Cake Team win the match against Rostik Team. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 17, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 3, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each assesses the probability of an event. Analyzing these differences can be valuable for informed decision-making, but remember that both represent probabilities, not guarantees.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, constantly updating as new information becomes available.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the Dota 2 BetBoom Battle playoffs between Rostik Team and Cake Team, specifically determining the winner of the best-of-three series. The platform will rely on publicly available and authoritative sources to verify the final result and settle the market accordingly. Traders should monitor official announcements for the definitive outcome.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Unexpected news regarding player form, team strategies, or even potential roster changes could shift expectations. Major upsets in other matches leading up to the playoffs could also impact perceived team strengths. Additionally, any public statements from team members or analysts offering insights into the matchup could sway market sentiment. Finally, significant betting volume itself can create momentum, driving prices up or down as traders react to each other’s actions.
