This market refers to the Dota 2 Upper Bracket Quarterfinal 3 match between OG and potn9ki in the DreamLeague Western Europe Closed Qualifier Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "OG" if OG win the match against potn9ki. This market will resolve to "potn9ki" if potn9ki win the match against OG. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks may heavily favor one team based on historical performance or public perception, this market allows traders to incorporate a wider range of information, including real-time team form, player conditions, and even subtle strategic shifts. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, as prediction markets can sometimes identify mispricings that sportsbooks miss. Analyzing these differences can provide valuable insights into the perceived probabilities of each outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of different outcomes. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd participating in the prediction.
This market resolves around Oct 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the Dota 2 DreamLeague Western Europe Closed Qualifier Playoffs best-of-three series between OG and potn9ki. The winning team, as determined by the official tournament organizers, will dictate the outcome of this market. The platform will verify the results against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. Unexpected announcements regarding player availability, such as injuries or visa issues, would likely cause shifts in the odds. In-game performance during the series itself, particularly dominant plays or strategic surprises, could also trigger rapid price movements. Furthermore, any news regarding team practice schedules, internal conflicts, or changes in coaching staff could influence trader sentiment and affect the volume and pricing of shares in this market.
