Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters. This can lead to probabilities that differ from traditional sportsbooks, which may be influenced by factors like public betting biases or house advantages. Sportsbooks set initial lines to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own analysis. The difference between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds can sometimes signal opportunities for arbitrage, though transaction costs and market liquidity should be considered.
