On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about whether Dijon or Metz will score first. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts accordingly, providing a dynamic assessment of the likelihood of each team scoring first. The current market price indicates what traders, as a collective, believe is the fair probability of each team taking the early lead.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team, Dijon or Metz, scores the first goal in the match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. The platform will then finalize the market, distributing payouts to those who correctly predicted the first team to score, based on the final share prices at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 12, 2026. Any news regarding team injuries, particularly to key attacking players for either Dijon or Metz, would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team form, such as a recent string of wins or losses, could also impact trader sentiment. Even pre-match analysis from reputable sports analysts, if it deviates significantly from the current market consensus, might prompt shifts in trading activity. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role, potentially favoring one team's playing style over the other.
