If a player enters the game during the first half but does not re-enter after the first half concludes—including any overtime—the contract resolves to the fair price set before the game's opening tip, unless the player meets or exceeds the specified rebound threshold, in which case it settles based on actual performance. If the player enters the game after the first half ends, the contract settles based on actual statistics regardless of first-half participation. Notably, injury status, injury designations, or being ruled out are not prerequisites for applying the protection rules.
