If a player enters the game during the first half but does not re-enter after the first half concludes (including overtime), the contract resolves to the fair price set before the game's tip-off, unless the player meets or exceeds the required rebound threshold, in which case it settles based on actual statistics. If the player enters the game after the first half ends, the contract settles based on actual statistics regardless of first-half participation. No injury designation, official ruling-out, or similar status is required for protection to apply.
