Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by factors like house biases or public betting patterns. Sportsbooks may adjust their lines based on liability, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the most likely exact score. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when there’s significant public interest or uncertainty surrounding the game. On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to find an equilibrium point where buyers and sellers agree on the value. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, influenced by news, analysis, and the overall sentiment of the PredictionHero community regarding the Toluca vs. Monterrey match.
