Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of numerous independent traders. If a significant amount of money is wagered on one outcome, the odds will shift accordingly, potentially signaling information not yet fully incorporated into traditional sportsbook odds. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional forecasts, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Currently, the market is driven by supply and demand; increased buying pressure on a particular outcome will raise its price, indicating growing confidence in that result. The total volume traded provides an indication of interest in the market, while the price fluctuations reflect evolving expectations.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the Deportivo San Pedro vs. CSD Municipal match. In the event of a tie or other unusual circumstances, the outcome will be determined based on official match records and widely accepted sports data sources. The platform will verify the result and distribute payouts to traders holding winning shares.
