In the upcoming La Liga game between Deportivo Alavés and Málaga CF, scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Deportivo Alavés vs. Málaga CF match originally scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to be more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, as they reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders. However, sportsbook odds are often set with a built-in margin for profit, while this market allows traders to set prices based on their own assessments of probability. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early on, as sportsbooks react to initial betting action and public perception. Comparing the two can offer valuable insights, but remember that this market represents a different form of forecasting based on incentivized prediction.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible exact score. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the perceived probability of that outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to accurately assess the likelihood of each score, as profitable trades depend on correctly predicting the final result. The more a particular outcome is traded, the more liquid it becomes, and the tighter the spread between the buy and sell prices will be.
This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Deportivo Alavés versus Málaga CF match will be used to determine the winning contract. Resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a recognized sports data provider, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final score and their positions in this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or shifts in player form could significantly impact perceived probabilities. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role. Furthermore, major tactical announcements or pre-match analysis from reputable sources could sway trader sentiment. Even significant betting patterns observed in traditional sportsbooks might influence activity on Predict, as traders attempt to capitalize on perceived mispricings or new information.
