In the upcoming La Liga game between Deportivo Alavés and Málaga CF, scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Deportivo Alavés vs. Málaga CF match originally scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price of that outcome will fall on Polymarket, potentially offering better value than available elsewhere. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, and discrepancies can arise due to differing information and perspectives.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score. As more shares are purchased for a specific outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability of that outcome decreases. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective belief of traders on Polymarket regarding the likelihood of each result. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand, with traders attempting to profit by identifying mispriced outcomes and expressing their informed opinions.
This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final result of the Alavés vs. Málaga match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score determined by official sources will be used to determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders who correctly predicted the final score will be paid out according to the final share price of their chosen outcome on Polymarket at the time of resolution. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objectively verifiable data.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 23, 2026. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments announced by either Alavés or Málaga could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even significant pre-match analysis from reputable football commentators, could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, large volume purchases or sales by influential traders on Polymarket could create momentum and drive price fluctuations, reflecting a change in perceived probabilities.
